Emotions: Stress...

This assignment I really wanted to explore my creative side and primarily learn how to use Adobe Premier.  The most challenging part of this assignment was learning how to finalize your video and upload it to Vimeo to be honest.  In my video description on Vimeo I offer further explanation to the creative process that I used, in part with my emotion.  The link below will take you straight to my Vimeo video for the assignment.  Enjoy!!!

  1. The shot of the eyes were effective in conveying stress.

  2. The shots and music go together well though at times it felt more like depression than stress though seeing as those two subjects can easily intertwine it makes sense.

  3. Great choice of the score, definitely felt some elevated tension in the shots in combination with the music. The animals in cages were my favorite shots.

  4. The statue really helped the overall feel of this piece though I'm not entirely sure why. My favorite shot was with the lighting of the cigarette, especially that you didn't light it correctly on the first try. This might be a personal view, but I see beer as more of something fun so I would have taken that out and possibly added more views of the cigarette since it's commonly known people smoke when they're stressed.

  5. I really loved the opening shot with the blinds, the composition and light play made it real uneasy feeling. The music helped a great deal with that, the shots with the animals help give it a feeling of despair, like you're hoping bad things aren't about to happen to these critters.

  6. I really enjoyed the symbolism behind the images, some of which were pretty creepy. I can see how the images relate to stress, but it takes some thinking to decipher what's going on. There were some very interesting shots and the sound design was really cool. Nicely done!

  8. Nice video, and great shots! It had a lot of intensity and the music went with it perfectly. The only thing that could be better is some parts of the video seemed to have more of an afraid emotion.

  10. I can't stop thinking of a horror film, I keep expecting something to jump out at me. The music made it feel really creepy. The use of monochrome really helped drive the point of a horror movie. You had a lot of really great shots in there. Between the shots and music the tension felt really high. Overall I really like the video.

  11. Your video really stressed me out! Job well done. The water dripping and the overflowing ash trey were overwhelming. Your shots were great and the mood was well set.

  12. This is very creative and strong work. If you had exported it with the proper settings so there isn't any negative space surrounding the frame, I would have sent it on fro broadcast on WNIT's Arts Codec program. If you'd like to export it again and repost it. Let me know and I will send it.
